ECA – Eden Community Alarms
Eden Community Alarms provided a care alarm, emergency response and telecare service in the Eden community for many years, working as a team with the help of volunteers.
In January 2016, ECA merged with Eden Housing Association, enhancing the offer provided by the Eden Independent Living (EIL) team. A joint team worked for months to ensure a smooth transition which now provides additional support services for existing Eden Community Alarm customers as well as those from EIL.
The main service provided consists of a care alarm service with the option of an emergency response service.
Telecare is also available which consists of special sensors placed around the home and linked to a care alarm. A wide range of sensors are available to monitor certain health or environmental factors. The alarm and sensors are linked through to a control centre which monitors all calls 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. This ensures that swift action can be taken should an incident occur.
